The Getaway Weekend is our annual retreat held every third weekend in April. It’s where women of all ages come together to rest, grow, and rediscover the strength God placed within them.
What Is the Just Us Girls Getaway Weekend
The Just Us Girls Getaway Weekend is a retreat-style experience that focuses on the whole woman.
Over three days, women gather to worship, learn, laugh, reflect, and leave with renewed strength and hope.
There is no pressure to participate in the activities. If you simply need a getaway, that’s perfectly fine. The only thing mandatory is that you enjoy the weekend — a getaway for you and whatever you need.

The first Just Us Girls Getaway Weekend was hosted in 2006 in Michigan with approximately 30 women in attendance. What began as an intimate gathering has grown steadily over the years into a trusted, multi-state women’s experience.
Since 2006, Just Us Girls has expanded to serve nearly 300 women each year, drawing participants from across the Midwest, including Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio. While our reach has grown, our heart remains the same — creating intentional, affirming spaces where women are seen, supported, and restored.

Based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Just Us Girls is more than an annual weekend experience — it is a year-round ministry committed to honoring, uplifting, and supporting women in our community.
We create spaces where women can rest, grow, and reconnect with God and each other. What began as a small gathering has grown into an annual retreat that women look forward to each year.
At Just Us Girls, we celebrate women, honor authenticity, and create spaces where every daughter of God feels seen, valued, and loved.

Community Support & Activism
Throughout the year, in addition to preparing for the Just Us Girls Getaway Weekend, we host a variety of events, activities, and fundraisers designed to celebrate women, create meaningful connection, and provide tangible support. Our work includes:

Scholarships that remove financial barriers and allow women to participate in life-giving experiences

Award banquets and recognition events that honor women for their leadership, service, resilience, and impact

Community-centered gatherings and initiatives focused on encouragement, restoration, and sisterhood
These efforts allow Just Us Girls to extend our mission beyond a single weekend and into the everyday lives of women we serve. Through the support of sponsors, donors, and grant partners, we are able to continue creating spaces where women feel seen, valued, and supported — all year long.
